I’ve been dying to recreate Sue’s adorably cute cocoa mug cookies since I first discovered them last spring. I love love love ’em! Don’t they just radiate holiday happiness, warmth, and all things snuggly?
I’d say these cookies help balance out the girl-a-palooza that is the hot pink snowflake cookie design.
In keeping with my theme of simple two-color cookie designs, these cocoa mug cookies use only a mix of Americolor Sky Blue + Americolor Turquoise and Americolor Bright White. Plus, I took a cue from Sue and made my own mug “cutter” to keep things on the cheap.
Just draw a mug on cardstock and cut. After rolling out your dough, you’ll use a knife to cut out your cookie. Don’t get too intensely detailed in your design as that’ll make this process take a wee bit longer than you might enjoy.
Sue also added hearts to her mug cookies and played with dots as well. Limitless options for design even with just two colors!
Simple, easy, festive, and cute!
And don’t forget to check out Sue’s latest version of cocoa mug cookies! They’re also incredibly adorable!
