Now that the news is out, ya’ll know why I’m trying to keep things simple these days. I’ve got a few new cookies coming your way and each of them uses only two colors of frosting, but still makes for a fun and festive presentation.
Two colors is so easy to manage. Less icing bags. Less bottles. Less mixing. Less work!
So let’s get going with our very girlie Christmas cookies!
Since next Christmas we might be celebrating with a little boy and our Quinnie-girl, I figured this year we could add a couple super girlie touches to our holiday cookies and our Christmas tree. The tree got topped with this sassy pink princess hat from Target!
For the cookies, nothing is girlier than hot pink and disco dust. Enter the sparkly snowflake cookies!
These cookies look way better in person. Its tough (at least for me!) to photograph the glittery shimmer that disco dust adds to cookies. So eye-catching and so much fun.
No tutorial needed here as these snowflake cookies are simple stuff. Just grab Americolor Deep Pink frosting to outline and flood your cookies. Add a sprinkle of Rainbow Disco Dust and some Americolor Bright White piping frosting and you’ve got cute cookie magic.
I loved playing with the snowflake designs and think a plate full of these would be a great addition to your Christmas cookie line up. So much wow and so little work!
I used a snowflake cookie cutter from Wilton. The snowflake cutter would also make for lovely gingerbread cookies decorated with the same, simple white piping.
