It’s raining babies these days and no better way to celebrate a baby shower than with rosy-cheeked, smiley-faced raindrop cookies!
These cheerful cookies fit in with just about any baby shower given that “showers of love” is a universally sweet message. Boys, girls, surprise babies. They were for ’em all!
Plus, these raindrops are very beginner-friendly and offer lots of options for easy customization. I, for one, love mixing up facial expressions. These drops are ultra-happy campers!
Whilst the raindrops below are ever so sleepy!
I didn’t include a photo tutorial as I’ve done several similarly-styled cookies in the past. The long and the short of it: flood the cookies with blue icing; while still wet, add a bit of white for a reflection; let dry, and add edible marker details for the face and rosy cheeks with pink petal dust or pink sprinkles.
For more cookies with a similarly adorable look: these shamrocks, these clouds, and these baby faces. Perhaps, I should deviate from the norm and mix it up, but for now, I’m sticking with these sweeties!
Also, these raindrops would be perfectly paired with these umbrellas! Aprils Showers/Baby Shower cuteness overload!
I used various sized teardrop cutters from this Ateco set.
Terrific work! This is the type of information that are supposed to be shared around the internet. Disgrace on Google for now not positioning this post upper! Come on over and talk over with my site . Thank you =)
